The beef between Raptors superfan Drake and the Milwaukee Bucks continues to heat up, and Bucks owner Wes Edens' daughter Mallory is even getting in on the action. He responded to the drama with a series of pictures of himself having a great time at the game, captioned with a cry-laughing emoji and a shrug.
Then, as he has for all of the playoffs, Kawhi Leonard stepped up, nailing two huge three-pointers over Brook Lopez to push the Raptors into a winning position.
Underrated Raptors player (s) of the game: Kyle Lowry played 39 minutes in Game 5, finishing with 17 points, seven rebounds, six assists and a steal. With the Raptors heading into Game 6 at Scotiabank Arena looking suddenly like a team that is doing everything right at key moments, it is worth noting the parts in which they escaped by the narrowest of margins. "He said that (practice-game comment) with about six weeks to go, and I was like: Now we're talking".
One win away and a chance to get it at home is all that lies between the Raptors and a first trip to the NBA Finals and a date with the Golden State Warriors.
Drake also liked a comment that said if teams don't want their opponents to celebrate, they can stop it by beating them. "It's first to four. I gave him the option to skip shootaround today, and he said, 'No, I'm going.' He wanted to come".
The postseason struggles of the Bucks' Eric Bledsoe continued in Game 4. "Again, he just stepped into the shots that were there tonight, and he was probably due to get hot in these playoffs". How many times do Toronto Maple Leafs fans complain about the "suits" that sit in the platinum section?
Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer made the first major lineup adjustment of the series, putting Malcolm Brogdon in the starting unit and bringing Nikola Mirotic off the bench, and it made it more important that Leonard provide all the offence he could. It didn't end there as the "6 God" playfully rubbed the shoulders of Raptors head coach Nick Nurse which got, you guessed it, the Bucks pretty upset.
Rodgers got challenged by his teammate, offensive lineman David Bakhtiari, who easily threw down three beers and an amazingly short period of time.
A Game 7, if needed, would be back in Milwaukee.
