"Ab koi rok nahi sakta [ PM Narendra Modi is returning to power, no one can stop him now]", reads the new poster.
"Jeetne ka maza tab aata hai, jab sab aapke haarne ki ummeed karte hain [You enjoy winning, when everyone is rooting for your failure]", says Vivek Oberoi as Narendra Modi in the new trailer for the upcoming biopic.
From the trailer Modi is portrayed struggling to grasp the concept of an undivided India and paves his path towards becoming chief minister of Gujarat after meeting Amit Shah (Manoj Joshi). The makers have now teased another trailer and this time we feel it takes a straight dig at the former PM Manmohan Singh.
"Ab aa rahe hai dobara, PM Narendra Modi".
Asked if the biopic was propaganda, Oberoi cited Attenborough's Gandhi saying, "Reviewers then argued why the film didn't focus on Gandhi neglecting his sons, to which Attenborough retorted that his concern was not a "pita" (father) but "Rashtrapita" (father of the nation)".
"The new generation will get inspired and motivated through this film".
"He had launched posters of my successful biopics - Mary Kom and Sarabjeet". Earlier the release of PM Narendra was postponed by the Election Commission due to the Lok Sabha polls, which took place between April 11 and May 19.
"Who wants to be an MP when you can be PM on-screen", added the actor, who features as Modi in the leader's biopic "PM Narendra Modi", releasing on May 24. The poll panel had said the film disturbed the level playing field. "It is an inspirational movie and will arouse the feeling of patriotism", Oberoi said.
After filmmakers approached the Supreme Court, the apex court directed the EC to watch the film and reconsider its decision.
