The National Commission for Women on Monday sent a notice to Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi and asked him to give an explanation for sharing an "insulting" and "misogynist" post on Twitter comparing poll results and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's personal life. I think sometimes people try to be cool on social media and write such things. So, recalling history of Aish's past relationships that involved him as well, Vivek put up a meme that called Aish-Salman an Opinion Poll, followed by himself and Aish an Exit Poll and Aish's happy family picture with Abhishek and daughter Aaradhya as the End Result.
Vivek Oberoi has come under fire for a post made in bad taste. "I'd like to meet them, I'll also like to explain myself because I don't think I have done anything wrong", Vivek said. The tweet was met with widespread condemnation by several notable personalities, including actor Sonam Kapoor, who called it "disgusting and classless". "No politics here... just life".
Celebrities Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, Jwala Gutta and Madhur Bhandarkar slammed Vivek's tweet too. His movie PM Narendra Modi is all set to hit the theatres next week. If I have done something wrong I will apologise.
While the actor might have posted the tweet assuming it to be amusing, Twitterverse did not share his feeling and there was an explosion of outrage targeted at him.
"I have read her tweet. At least show the decency to pull off the post if not apologise to the lady and her little girl". The commission's chairperson Rekha Sharma asked Oberoi to apologise on social media as well as in person to Bachchan, ANI reported.
It looks like that Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi has really taken a big controversy in his name and this time totally intentionally.
