Four new photos from the upcoming drama were released on Sunday, shortly after a panel was held for the show at Chicago's Star Wars Celebration fan convention.
Filming began in October, with creator/executive producer Favreau sharing a first look photo of the title character.
It'd be interesting to know how things would have turned out had Jon Favreau not gotten to play Pre Vizsla in The Clone Wars, cementing his ties to the world of Mandalore. The Thor: Ragnarok director is playing a mysterious role, but also directed sat least one of the episodes alongside Favreau, Filoni (making his live-action directing debut), Bryce Dallas Howard, Rick Famuyiwa, Deborah Chow, and reportedly veteran Werner Herzog. Pedro Pascal will, of course, be The Mandalorian, but we did find out who his castmates will be.
Star Wars is coming to the small screen!
Carano plays Cara Dune. But part of Disney's plan to make Galaxy's edge feel "real" involves a number products you're probably familiar with. It would appear that a brand new LEGO Star Wars video game is in the works. Greef tells him his options: "I have a bail jumper, a bail jumper, another bail jumper", he says, dropping "pucks" onto the table. He eventually arrives at a cantina (similar to Star Wars Episode IV's Mos Eisley).
You can see the moment that Wood, Supervising Sound Editor at Skywalker Sound, made mention of a new LEGO Star Wars game for 2019 in the clip below, at around the 5 hours 53 minutes mark. We also saw footage of Carano pulling off some great stunts, and a line from Breaking Bad alum Giancarlo Esposito.
