Interestingly, the Reboot Van will need to cool down before you or any other squad can use it again, so you can't spam respawns if enemies are taking potshots at your newly reborn teammates.
Fortnite Reboot Van will officially go live for players next week, Epic Games confirmed. The reboot vans though are not effective at all times as they can not be used for a certain duration of time after being used for respawning.
The Reboot Van is expected to arrive to the game in the next Fortnite update, next week. Now, Apex Legends has some new features to offer and it seems Fortnite wants a slice of the pie. Reboot Vans will be available in the game's 8.30 patch update. With the ruckus that Reboot Vans will make, squadmates will need to protect their returning allies as they will be easy targets for opponents looking for a quick kill.
Well, today, the Dev Update #13 released, telling players about the Reboot Van coming in the next update.
However many Reboot Cards you're holding when you activate the van will see your squadmates appear, one-by-one, on top of the van. Once the reboot van is used successfully, it will be inactive for a few minutes before another team can use it. Vans will be located near major points of interest, Epic says, so that means popular areas like Tilted Towers, Retail Row, etc.
A glowing mark and audio cue will let nearby players know that a respawn is in progress. But in the next big update to the game, you will no longer have to sit out the rest of the match, twiddling your thumbs.
Fortnite V8.30 goes live next week.
While it's plausible that Epic Games has been working on this for some time, the timing is questionable. I'm guessing Epic liked the idea from Apex so much that it wanted to crib a feature, which I can't blame them.
