Daniele De Rossi and coach Eusebio Di Francesco were given a pass.
"We all wish him well for the future".
Roma are close to appointing Claudio Ranieri as their new manager, according to Sky in Italy.
"Since returning to the club, Eusebio has always acted professionally and put the club's needs ahead of his own".
The Giallorossi lost 3-1 on the night, 4-3 on aggregate, after VAR was used to award a penalty to the hosts for a shirt tug.
Telles took responsibility and made no mistake from 12-yards out to seal a 3-1 win on the night and a 4-3 win on aggregate.
As a player, Eusebio spent five seasons at Roma, including as a member of the 2001 Scudetto-winning side.
Ranieri was sacked by Fulham last month as the Premier League outfit labors in the relegation zone, and served in the same position at Nantes after leading Leicester City to its fantastic PL title.
A native of Rome, Ranieri won a Premier League title in 2017 as manager of Leicester City and has an extensive coaching resume with clubs from all over the world including stints with Chelsea, Monaco, Atletico, Valencia, Juventus, Parma and Nantes.
The announcement comes the day after Roma's sporting director Monchi was involved in an altercation with fans and club president James Pallotta said his team had been "screwed again" after the loss to Porto.
