Breaking Bad lovers are in for more from their favourite meth-head. Netflix really helped spur the growth of Breaking Bad's audience, so it's only fitting that they should get the feature-length film, but it's cool that AMC will also get to air the movie so that Breaking Bad comes home in a way.
Interestingly, the sources said that Netflix would have first-run rights for the movie, but that it would still air on AMC later.
Neither Netflix nor AMC immediately responded to Mashable's request for comment. While we're waiting on those to arrive: have you revisited Breaking Bad recently?
I think Netflix kept us on the air. "I don't think our show would have even lasted beyond season two [without it]". He is joined by producers Mark Johnson and Melissa Bernstein, who have worked with Gilligan both on Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul.
Paul's on-screen counterpart Bryan Cranston confirmed the existence of the movie previous year, but was circumspect on the chances of his teacher-turned-kingpin Walter White returning for a continuation of the story. The show also generated a spinoff, the highly acclaimed "Better Call Saul", which will return for a fifth season later this year.
Per the New Mexico Film Office, a film titled "Greenbrier" was scheduled to film in Albuquerque from November to mid-February.
"I don't know if there's an appearance - flashbacks, flash forwards - but I'm excited about it because it's "Breaking Bad" and it was the greatest professional period of my life and I can't wait to see all those people again, even if I just come by to visit", Cranston said.
