The statement said it was a "premeditated and aggressive" assault and that while Watson and Fairfax had been social friends, they were never involved romantically.

Watson's account comes on the heels of a lengthy statement from Tyson, who has said she met Fairfax at the Democratic National Convention in 2004.

More members of Fairfax's own party called for his resignation on Friday after a second woman came forward with allegations that she was sexually assaulted by the embattled lieutenant governor. "The two were friends but never dated or had any romantic relationship". Virginia Delegate Patrick Hope, a Democrat, has threatened to file articles of impeachment against Fairfax if he doesn't resign by Monday.
"She was upset", Adams said.
"The allegations against Justin Fairfax are serious and credible".
In response, Fairfax said the allegations are "demonstrably" false and called for a full investigation into the claims.
Fairfax denied the first allegation in a February 6 statement.
Castro, the former San Antonio mayor who's also a Democrat presidential candidate in 2020, has called for Fairfax's resignation. Petersen's Democratic-leaning district includes Fairfax and Vienna.
Those denials are not enough for him to keep his job, according to his fellow Democrats in the state Legislature.
Northam maintained that he is not in the photo - which shows one person in blackface and another in KKK robes - but could not say why he initially took responsibility for it. Faifax instead called on "all appropriate and impartial investigatory authorities, including the FBI, to investigate fully and thoroughly the allegations against me".
