Even though Chelsea breezed past Newcastle 2-1 on Saturday bossMaurizio Sarri says he needs replacements in midfield if they are to keep up their push for the last automatic Champions League spot in the Premier League.
Newcastle have now lost 10 in a row away to the division's established top six, but they put up a good fight in West London, levelling up through Ciaran Clark after Pedro opened the scoring, only for Willian to win the match for Chelsea.
"We conceded a goal we could avoid but after that we were fighting for every ball; these players care you could see that", Benitez told the BBC.
"Maybe he has 12 years of contract, I don't know". It depends on the club decision, I think.
It was just his fifth goal of the season and first in the league since October but Willian told BT Sport: "I think it's always hard in the Premier League. In this moment he is a fundamental player".
The 30-year-old scored the victor against Newcastle following Pedro's first half goal.
"In my opinion Willian has to stay with us".
"[On Saturday] we scored after nine minutes, so the team thought it is very easy". A very important player, like Pedro.
"After the goal something happened, we stopped playing".
Sarri added: "With Eden as a striker we need wingers".
"It's got nothing to do with business dealings I've got with his company", said Ferdinand, whose Five brand is available to buy at Sports Direct, a sports-goods retailer founded by Ashley. So we need Pedro. I think that we need to improve our mentality in total. We need Hudson-Odoi. We need Willian of course.
"No, because I have the option with Hazard in this position", said Sarri earlier this month when asked about signing a centre forward.
But it took only nine minutes for the Blues to go in front as Newcastle's five-man defence was carved open easily.
