On Tuesday, the group that owns Mercedes-Benz published its numbers for past year.
The smartwatch is essentially an add-on to the 2020 CLA Coupe with a design that's meant to go well with the new vehicle, as well as features that enhance it's tech-enabled credentials.
The diversification of the current Mercedes-Benz A-Class is getting into swing following the revelation of its CLA four-door coupe variation at this year's Consumer Electronics Show (CES).
"The new edition of the CLA has been developed further in an intelligent way and is even more emotional and sportier than its predecessor". As is the case with the A-Class, there's also "Hey Mercedes" voice control functionality, and the equipment list also includes Energising comfort control, with a new Energising Coach function. "The year will be marked with some of the most significant product introductions". The Three Pointed Star will not only expand its retail network in newer markets, but also enhance the luxury experience across its dealership through innovative luxury elements. The simple surfacing on new Mercedes models continues, but with hard-defined edges, especially on the sides, and over the bootlid into the rear bumper. While the A-Class only gets multilink rear suspension on the all-wheel-drive model (the front-drive models with wheels smaller than 19 inches are saddled with a torsion-beam design), all CLA-Class models will have multilink rear suspension. Other functions can be activated with gestures contextually, like extending a hand toward the rearview mirror in the dark to activate reading lights. Both will be powered by a 2.0-litre turbo charged four-cylinder and feature all-wheel drive, with the standard version producing 275kW while the S will generate 310kW and have the ability to accelerate from 0-100km/h in under four seconds. Engine outputs are 225 hp and 350 Nm of torque, transmitted to the wheels via a 7G-DCT dual-clutch transmission. Mercedes is making a big deal that the CLA's MBUX infotainment system, which debuted in the A-class in early 2018, has already been improved.
