The idea of three rear cameras on an iPhone is no longer new, it's a rumor that has been gaining some mas day by day. But seasoned Apple watchers will recognise last year as an "S" upgrade year where the company just bolsters its design from the previous year. Though different, some might find the arrangement of the three cameras and the LED flash little odd.
The new iPhone 11 or XI are not expected anytime before the second half of the year but the renders of the device are already out there on the interwebs! Instead, the company promises "the Mophie Juice Pack Access for the iPhone XS/X provides up to 25 hours of total talk time, while the Juice Pack Access for the iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR provides up to 31 hours of total talk time".
We're not sure what's the objective of the third camera, but earlier reports have suggested that Apple might introduce 3D cameras in 2019. However, for now, everything is quite unfamiliar, even the way the flash and the camera lenses are housed as if you remember then you might know that this housing is quite similar to the Huawei's Mate 20. In fact, a recent report by Bloomberg suggested that Apple is looking to adopt long-distance 3D TOF technology in its upcoming iPhones. One, Hemmerstoffer has provided accurate information regarding next-gen iPhone designs in the past. That said, it remains to be seen if the iPhone XR - which reportedly isn't selling as briskly as Apple anticipated - will prompt Apple to adjust its iPhone naming or pricing scheme.
It's also unclear what the third camera's goal will be, but Bloomberg has previously reported that Apple was interested in acquiring 3D camera sensors from Sony.
However, we're still at least nine months away from Apple's annual iPhone reveal, so take these images with a pinch of salt.
