Boasting a new graphics engine, Mortal Kombat 11 promises to make every special move and fatality a visceral and thoroughly unpleasant experience for all (in a good way).
Pre-orders for Mortal Kombat XI will start on December 7, tomorrow, and players that pre-order will get access to Shao Kahn as a playable character, as well as beta access.
A stunningly violent trailer played, displaying a brutal battle between Scorpion and Raiden.
If you pre-order any version of Mortal Kombat 11, you'll receive Shao Kahn as a playable character. The main new features in this next fighting game, as far as I can tell, are ultraviolence that's even more wince-inducing and dressing up your murderers like pretty dolls.
While the studio isn't presently showing off more of MK11 just yet, a gameplay showcase is planned for the Mortal Kombat 11: The Reveal event on January 17, 2019.
Mortal Kombat XI will launch on April 23, 2019 for PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch. In addition, the game will introduce a new cinematic story that continues the epic saga that is more than 25 years in the making.
If there was an award for the goriest trailer at The Game Awards then it would definitely have gone to the new Mortal Kombat... which is exactly what fans would've hoped and expected. However, based on the loose description alone, the systems seems a blending of Mortal Kombat X's Character Variations and Injustice 2's Gear System. Those who pre-order on PlayStation®4 and Xbox One, at select retailers, will also receive access to the beta, which will be available in March for those platforms.
