Speaking at a recent Infinity War Q&A, the Russos were asked to reflect on the upcoming Disney/20th Century Fox deal, which could see The X-Men coming into the MCU.
The Russo Brothers, directors of Marvel's biggest films like Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War, have long held an interest in the groundbreaking comic story arc of Secret Wars. And, now that they're moving on from Avengers 4, it might be the only thing to bring them back.
What do you think of these new pieces of information? Avengers 4 is on track for a fairly "normal" trailer release schedule. We knew there were fake scenes and insane plots and that no single actor had the full script.
Evans continued, "Part of you nearly kind of thinks: Well, if we end on the right note... and I think it really kind of does".
Last month, the 37-year-old actor tweeted that he had completed filming on the fourth "Avengers" movie, adding a sense of finality when he wrote, "Playing this role over the last 8 years has been an honour". It has been widely assumed that the trailer will be aired today during the screening of Avengers: Infinity War by Collider's but this one is now crushed by many MCU bloggers and the news has broken hopes many fans. "I don't want to explain what I mean, but audiences will soon understand".
So, before you start hanging up that homemade American flag, the one that has Chris Evans' face where the stars should be, be warned that there's also a strong chance Joe Russo is just messing with us.
Considering the Black Order were worthy, underdeveloped opponents, we can't say we aren't a little disappointed Cull Obsidian isn't a lock to appear in Captain Marvel.
