In an interview on "Fox News Sunday", Conway defended the White House decision to yank Acosta's press credentials after his hand brushed against the young intern during her attempt to retrieve the microphone. You know, he gets paid to burst in.
Trump also called out April Ryan, a White House correspondent for American Urban Radio Networks and a CNN analyst. He was promoted to chief White House correspondent earlier this year. "And never surprising", CNN said in a statement, reports Variety.
But the White House maintains that Mr Acosta was in the wrong, with Ms Sanders tweeting that his actions were "absolutely unacceptable". During a press briefing this summer, Sanders apparently didn't satisfy Acosta's curiosity when he asked about Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani's comments about the former FBI Director James Comey.
Acosta had been holding the microphone, trying to ask a follow-up question, while the president was calling on a different reporter. "You have to treat the presidency with respect".
The White House suspended press access for Jim Acosta on Wednesday after the CNN reporter had a tense exchange with President Trump during a press conference. "We will not tolerate the inappropriate behavior clearly documented in this video", Ms. Sanders had tweeted along with a video of the incident nearly three hours after she announced the decision to suspend Mr. Acosta's pass. He said, "I can do something fantastic, and they make it look not good".
After CNN reporter Jim Acosta's White House press pass was revoked Tuesday evening, the press secretary, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, tweeted out what appears to be a doctored video to justify the decision.
"You are a rude awful person, you should not be working for CNN", Trump said, further baselessly accusing him of reporting "fake news" and calling him an "enemy of the people". Someone might do this if they later wanted to speed the video up, to keep the clip and its original a similar length. InfoWars personality @PrisonPlanet posted the same video two hours before you did. "You shouldn't be working for CNN", he said. I mean, you talk about somebody that's a loser. He said she was rude for interrupting another reporter, though he did briefly answer one of Ryan's questions.
Meanwhile, revoking Acosta's "hard pass" apparently is a dream come true for Trump.
