Good things do come to those who wait-specifically those who've yet to jump on the Amazon Prime bandwagon.
This is on top of the unlimited FREE Two-Day Shipping that Prime members receive every day on more than 100 million items.
As Walmart, Target and Amazon launch a price war for merchandise in the weeks before Thanksgiving, they are now wooing customers with the promise of fast, efficient, no-cost shipping. Prime membership is not required, although paid subscribers get free same-day delivery when possible. Sure you could just pay for shipping like a savage, but this holiday season Amazon's got an even better idea, as it offers free shipping with no minimum purchase requirement.
Walmart offers free two-day shipping on sales of more than $35, while Amazon's free delivery-window guarantees are limited to members of its $119-a-year Prime program. Also mentioned was the previous free-delivery threshold on orders larger than $25.
The US-only promotion, effective from November 5, waives the $25 minimum that customers outside Amazon's loyalty club Prime must hit for free shipping. Sales in November and December - excluding automobiles, gasoline and restaurants - are expected to increase between 4.3 and 4.8 percent over 2017 for a total of $717.45 billion to $720.89 billion, according to figures from the National Retail Federation.
Prime members in the United States will also benefit from over 3 million items that will be available for same-day delivery. The company usually sets the final date toward the end of the season.
This offer applies to hundreds of millions of items, and it'll work on orders that will arrive in time for Christmas.
