The United Nations special rapporteur on extrajudicial, summary or arbitrary executions said the killing of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi bears the hallmark of an extrajudicial execution, and those who orchestrated his murder "are high enough to represent the state".
A statement published by the company on Thursday acknowledges the apparent murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi at the Saudi consulate offices in Istanbul.

Trump has also insisted that killing will not interfere with USA arms sales to Saudi Arabia, citing a $110bn deal with Riyadh he announced a year ago.
Turkish officials have discounted the ability of Saudi Arabia to conduct a credible investigation, given suspicion that the royal court was behind the operation.
Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir says in an interview with Fox News on October 21 that the operation was not ordered by the crown prince.
But striking a defiant tone, the crown prince told global investors at the three-day conference on Wednesday that the furore would not derail the kingdom's reform drive.

Turkish sources alleged that body parts and a disfigured face had been found in the garden, Sky News reported, but the discovery has not been confirmed.
Initially it was reported Khashoggi's Apple watch may have recorded his brutal murder - but now it seems likely Turkish spies were covertly recording what was happening in the consulate, either using a listening device hidden inside or by aiming a powerful microphone at the building from outside.
