"Our redesigned Search page is the new one-stop destination for artists, albums, podcasts, and more-whether the subscriber knows what they're searching for or wants to explore something new", said a Spotify representative.
Spotify announced the update on Thursday, which brings with it plenty of oft-requested changes, more personalization, and more refinements to expand the platform's music discovery features.
Last and certainly not least, Spotify Premium comes with "Endless Artist Radio" capabilities now, offering playlists made up entirely of songs performed by one musician.
Streamlined navigation: Spotify has refined the navigation to help people quickly find what they're looking for.
It should be interesting to see how the addition of more features in recent months will make Spotify Premium a more tempting prospect at R60 a month. These offer an endless listening stream personalized to the listener's own musical tastes. Especially when these "radio stations" are "updated regularly to keep things fresh", as well as available to play while offline.
Spotify also cut down the number of tabs at the bottom of the screen so that you only have three: Home, Search, and Your Library. At the top of the page is a "Your top genres" section that'll change over time based on your current listening habits. It has also streamlined navigation as well, making it easier to get from one point to another within the app.
Spotify is rolling out a major update for its paid Premium tier that further improves on the popular streaming service. Additionally, the Radio option now appears after you search for a particular song or artist.
