Selena Gomez is reportedly seeking treatment after suffering an alleged mental breakdown. "After further monitoring it was decided that Selena would seek treatment at a [mental health] facility", a source told the site.
The singer is undergoing dialectical behavior therapy, a therapy method created to help try to identify, and then change, negative thinking and behavioral patterns, the source says.
Although she was released a few days later, Gomez was re-admitted to the hospital last week after her low blood cell count persisted, leading to an emotional breakdown. This procedure - which Gomez has undergone in the past - is created to treat mental health issues such as borderline personality disorder, suicidal behaviour and depression.
"I was diagnosed with lupus, and I've been through chemotherapy", the singer said.
Not long before her first hospitalization last month, the icon opened up to fans in an hour-long Instagram Live session, in which she revealed 'depression was my life 'for five years straight'.
Earlier this year, Selena took a break from Hollywood to undergo treatment for anxiety and depression. She wrote: "Just remember- negative comments can hurt anybody's feelings".
Currently, Gomez is on the East Coast and receiving dialectical behavior therapy - also known as DBT.
Following last night's news that Selena checked into an LA facility, a dishevelled Justin Bieber was spotted pulling up to church alone, dressed down in a hoodie, greeting a friend at the door.
