In the suit, Mayorga claimed that Ronaldo stated that "he was sorry; he was usually a gentleman", after the act.
Drohobyczer said Mayorga, now 34, became anxious that her name would become public after a 2017 media report apparently referred to the June 2009 incident at the Palms Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
It is claimed by the magazine she was paid US$375,000 as part of a privacy agreement, preventing her from going public with the allegations. He now plays for Italian club Juventus.
This comes soon after the German newspaper "Der Spiegel" named Cristiano as the accused in the case.
Complicating matters, Jacinto Rivera, a spokesman for the department, told AFP Mayorga did not identify Ronaldo by name at the time of her complaint and was "uncooperative".
Cristiano Ronaldo has rushed to his own defense.
Ronaldo appeared in an Instagram video shortly after the civil lawsuit was filed on Friday, calling it "fake news". Fake, fake news. They want to promote [themselves by using] my name. "I'm happy man and all good".
Ms Mayora was 25 at the time and working for a nightclub inside the Palms Casino, in which Ronaldo, his brother in a law and cousin were in the VIP area on June 13, 2009. Ronaldo invited her, her friend and others to his penthouse suite. She characterised Mayorga in 2009 as emotionally damaged, fearful, depressed and humiliated after the alleged attack and pressure from Ronaldo's representatives. A medical exam was conducted.
It said the plaintiff refused, tried to cover herself and was screaming: "No, no, no".
Ronaldo is one of the biggest names in world sport.
What did Ms Mayorga's lawyer say?
The lawsuit accuses Ronaldo of battery for sodomizing her. She later initiated a legal process which resulted in a financial settlement being agreed between both parties.
The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages of at least $200,000. Her lawyer Mr Stovall said she had left Las Vegas to escape the media scrutiny.
Court papers claimed he attacked her even though she was screaming 'No, no, no!'
Mayorga's lawyers say the doctor they obtained to examine their client has diagnosed her with major depression and post-traumatic stress disorder linked to alleged rape.
