Downey in her tweet wrote, "Is your TV show worth it Tom?". Arnold responded to the tweet that he is filing a police report and "suing you for defamation". You lie like your insane husband attgacked me you psycho.
It's unclear if Patton Oswalt saw the fight itself, but afterwards he tweeted that he was "with Tom Arnold", and that the host was safe. "We gotta protect this brutal angel".
There is little doubt that Arnold has gotten under the skin of Mark Burnett with his tweets and requests for the alleged Trump Tapes over the last several months. He confirmed the altercation (he calls it an "unprovoked attack" by Burnett) and says Tom "has a witness" that will back him up. Arnold has been pressing Burnett to release recordings he allegedly has of then-Apprentice host Donald Trump saying the N-word and other terrible things on the set of the reality show.
What's Burnett's association with Trump now?
The allegations came up again after former "Apprentice" contestant and White House staffer Omarosa Manigault Newman released her book. The first episode will tackle Trump's time on The Apprentice, which Mark Burnett executive-produced. "I'd like him to stand up and say, 'actually, we had to cut out all the lies and sexual harassment and the insanity and the incompetence, we had to cut all that out.' That's the tape I want". Arnold was a friend of Trump's for decades before Trump was elected president, and since then Arnold has been trying to expose him. "She made it up". Arnold alleges that their verbal altercation turned physical at around around 9 p.m. PT, and that other stars in attendance had to break up the fight. Reps for Burnett and Downey declined to comment.
"Uh, not right now".
Later that night, Arnold was overheard telling people that the Trump tapes he found have been "handed over to Ronan Farrow". The answer was no.
